Cruise around Kailua-Kona on a Genuine Buddy 50cc moped from Kona Scooters — an easy, affordable way to explore the coast, beaches, and town without dealing with parking or traffic. This classic-styled scooter features an automatic transmission that anyone can ride, making it perfect for first-timers and experienced riders alike.

Rental periods range from 4 hours ($60) to a full week ($560), with a standard day rental at $80. The moped comes equipped with underseat storage, a grocery bag hook, DOT-approved helmet, and lock. Note: no passengers are allowed on the 50cc model.

Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license (no motorcycle endorsement needed for 50cc). A debit or credit card is required. Pick up and return at 74-5484 Kaiwi St, Unit 1-A125 in Kailua-Kona.

The 50cc engine is ideal for in-town riding and coastal roads but is not suited for highway speeds or long-distance trips. Bring sunscreen and water for comfort in Hawaiʻi's warm climate. Staff will walk you through the controls before you head out.
